Product Details

Description

Winterized DHA Algal Oil is derived from Schizochytrium sp. strains through controlled fermentation in a sealed fermenter. This process is followed by winterization to eliminate excess saturated fatty acids and impurities. The resulting DHA algal oil is pure, transparent, and possesses excellent fluidity. To enhance stability and quality, antioxidants like Ascorbyl palmitate or Vitamin E are added. This transformation turns the unstable long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids into a sustainable, high-quality, and commercially viable vegan source of omega-3.

Product No.: DOG-005

DHA content: 40%

CAS No.: 6217-54-5

Features & Advantages

This product boasts a uniquely flavored, transparent, oily consistency that falls within the pale yellow to orange range. Its taste is reminiscent of the sea, with distinct algal undertones that add a pleasant dimension to its overall aroma.

b. The DHA content can reach as high as 60% due to its lower fatty acid components.

c. The fatty acid components of the product have a low concentration of myristic acid, which is within the acceptable limits specified in the Infant Formula Standard. According to the standard, the combined percentage of lauric acid and myristic acid in the total fatty acids must not exceed 20%.

To comply with regulations for infant formula, it is important to ensure low levels of EPA in the fatty acid components. Therefore, the lower the EPA content, the more favorable the formula is for infant consumption.

e. The fatty acid components have a low DPA content, making it easy to separate and purify DHA for obtaining high-purity DHA.

The three-phase centrifugal physical separation method yields a purer and healthier algal oil, alleviating concerns about solvent contamination.

On the other hand, DHA jelly sweets are a fun and tasty alternative for children who may find it challenging to swallow capsules. Relevant laws and regulations in China

The "National Food Safety Standard for Infant Formula" implemented in 2010 clearly states the requirements for incorporating docosahexaenoic acid (22:6n-3) into infant formula. According to this standard, if DHA is included, an equal amount of Arachidonic Acid (20:4n-6) must also be added. Furthermore, it is mandated that the quantity of eicosapentaenoic acid (20:5n-3) should not surpass that of DHA. Consequently, when supplementing infant formula with DHA, an equivalent dose of ARA is obligatory, while the level of EPA must not exceed that of DHA. To summarize, following the guidelines, DHA and ARA should be added in equal amounts, with DHA remaining higher than or equal to EPA.
